About this event
A working session rather than a lecture. You will leave with a written agenda template, a facilitation checklist, and a decision-recording format that has been used across the university's own committees since 2023.
The session is deliberately small — thirty places — because the second half is spent running a meeting rather than hearing about one. If you book a place and cannot come, releasing it lets somebody on the waiting list attend.

Who should come
- Anyone who chairs a committee, a project group or a society.
- Research students preparing to run their own group meetings.
- Professional and administrative staff at any grade.
- Members of the public — a third of places are held for people outside the university.
Free to attend. Thirty places. Booking closes when the room is full, which for this session is usually about a week ahead.
Getting here
Ridgeline Engineering Hall, on the main campus at 900 Ridgeline Avenue, Northcrest, OR 97204. The building is step-free throughout, has an accessible toilet on each floor, and a hearing loop in the room being used. Visitor parking must be booked in advance; the campus is four minutes' walk from the transit stop.
